Photographic Truth

This assignment is called a photographic truth, so basically what we had to do was put our picture in a series of 6 pictures and make it look like we were originally there. We used photoshop to ptut our picture in the picture we got off line and used tools in photoshop to make it look real. 

For my book i chose to do the titanic the movie, I not only wanted to be in the move but take the place of Rose the main character. I started with boarding the titanic for this picture i actually found a picture of the real titanic, this picture was pretty simpe i just had to copy a picture of me waving and put me in the window. My second picture is me meeting jack, for this i put my face over roses face and used the eraser and a transparent tool to make it blend in. My third picture is me on the end of the boat with jack, again in this one i put me over rose. Then my 4th picture you see the huge iceberg passing the side of the titanic, and so I put me on the side pointing at the icebrg to do this it was mostly just copying and pasting but not just me i had to copy and paste the banister to make it look like i had my i hand on the rail. My fifth picture is me jumping off the side, I had to shrink myself for this picture then i just simply copy and pasted. Then the last picture was a little humorous, I put me swimming next to the sunken titanic and I made me look like a ghost, to do that I faded myself using a certain type of brush. 

At first when i thought about doing the titanic, I thought I should just add myself to look like a passenger on the real titanic. But to make it more interesting I decided to use the movie and then put myself as rose. It was to relate to the movie because i chose the pictures to show that there was a love story and then a huge tragedy.

I did not learn a lot of new things because I chose to do the movie not the event, but I did find some facts out by looking on special websites about the titanic. Like when exactly it sank, how long it was on voyage, and how some people survived. I did like the assignment because I thought it was interesting because we were looking at historical events and were using the amazing technology in this present day to alter history, it was like in a way we were changing the historic event. I found some pictures more difficult then others, but over all it was a pretty easy project because I was more familiar with photoshop. If I were to do the project over again, I would adjust the picture with me on the end of the titanic with jack, because it was a very difficult picture and I did not do everything I could to make it look real.
